The extra files section can be used for a couple purposes.
1. to store extra files such as PDF's, doc's, images and HTML pages. Once you upload the files here you can learn how to set them up as a link here.
2. to store your intro images on Premium templates that open with an intro slide show.
1. Slideshow Speed: This is where you can control the slideshow time for images. This will set the "time on screen" for each intro/gallery slideshow image.
2. Background Patterns
Some tempaltes contain background patterns. Set the value from 1 to 4 or NONE to use a solid color background. The pattern will inherit the secondary color in your Site Settings.
3. Pithy Slogan
An additional setting allows you to set the slogan (below your title/logo) in the intro.
(This feature is not usually necessary on most templates). This feature allows you to recreate thumbnails for all images in your image bank. You only need to rebuild your thumbnails for these images if you have uploaded images and thumbnails are not displaying in your image bank. The most common reason this would need to be used is if you chose the zip upload option for your image bank or you directly inserted your images to your gallery folder via FTP. Remember if you have created any custom thumbnails, this will overwrite those changes.
This is where (if you know some HTML coding) you can update your source template files. The most common use for this is to update your entry page via the Entry page HTML selection (as well as the Entry CSS on some templates.) The one other template that might be used would be the Main page HTML. There are options on this page that can be changed and if so you will be instructed how to do so on your "Template Spec" page. The other entries are to be used at your discretion. We have put them there so that advanced users are able to have a little more freedom to modify these settings.
